This section measures the process from ship design (PLM) to project management and certification tracking.
A1. Are the Bill of Materials (BOM) and 3D models generated by the design (CAD/PLM) system automatically transferred to the procurement and production planning systems without manual intervention?
A2. Are project budgets, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and schedule progress continuously compared with actual costs and labor hours in real time?
A3. Are certification and approval requirements from classification societies and authorities automatically integrated into procurement and production planning?
A4. When a design change (ECO) occurs in a project, can its impact on cost and delivery date be quickly simulated within the system?
A5. Is the capacity planning and reservation system for resources critical to project completion (e.g., scaffolding, dry docks, cranes) managed centrally?
This section measures long lead material procurement, on site fabrication processes, and assembly logistics.
B1. Are the ordering processes for long lead items managed by considering not only scheduling but also certification stages?
B2. Are all plates, profiles, and equipment entering or leaving the shipyard area tracked for inventory and logistics by being linked to the correct zone and block?
B3. Are detailed lean production routes followed and real-time data collected for the fabrication and assembly of critical sub components (piping, panels, electrical cables)?
B4. Are assembly logistics and staging processes optimized by the system to ensure that components are at the correct block at the right time for final assembly?
B5. Is there 100% traceability for batch/lot numbers of all raw materials used in welding, painting, and other critical production processes, down to the final ship blocks?
This section measures the high quality standards mandated by the industry, inspection processes, and warranty tracking.
C1. Are all Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective Action Reports (CAR), and their related processes from classification societies and customer inspections managed within a centralized system?
C2. Is the documentation required for all Test & Acceptance Procedures (HAT/SAT) before ship delivery automatically generated by the system?
C3. After ship delivery (during the warranty period), can failures and repairs be linked back to the specific production block and the component supplier?
C4. Are personnel and machine certifications such as welder certificates, test procedures, and equipment calibrations automatically tracked with validity expiration alerts?
C5. Is the progress status at different construction phases (Block, Assembly, Outfitting) reported in integration with the relevant WBS and cost data?
