Fostering Diversity and Inclusion at IFS
At IFS, we believe in fostering an inclusive environment where every employee feels valued and supported. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is deeply rooted in our core values, and we continually strive to create spaces where all voices are heard and respected.
In October 2022, we proudly launched our first Employee Resource Group, IFS Pride. This group serves as a safe and supportive space for members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies, aiming to inspire, educate, and build a global community based on respect and inclusion.
Celebrating Pride Month in London
As we approach two-years of our partnership with Transport for London (TfL) for the IFS Cloud Cable Car in London, we have collaborated on our Pride celebrations this year. For the month of June, ten IFS Cloud Cable Car cabins have been wrapped as part of TfL’s Every Story Matters campaign.
Every Story Matters
Unlike other transport operators that have settled for flag-based decorations, TfL and IFS wanted to pay tribute to the real heroes of Pride: the people. Jenney De Sousa, the creative lead on Pride at TfL, developed the “Every Story Matters” campaign.
Collaborating with TfL’s internal resource group, OUTbound, the team designed wraps that represent the lived experience and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community in London. Jenney emphasized that the designs go beyond stereotypes, the team included characters with diverse backgrounds, abilities, faiths, cultures, ages and body shapes.
The Every Story Matters campaign extends beyond the IFS Cloud Cable Car. Pride wraps can be seen all around London, on the Bus route 63, Class 378 London Overground and Elizabeth line class 345.
Conversations in the Cloud
The popular YouTube series is back, hosted in our rainbow-wrapped cabins. Watch this year’s episode to hear from Natasha Devon, Writer and Broadcaster and Speaker, about her experience working in mental health and with young people in the LGBTQ+ community.
Hosted by Josh Wilkin, this episode features DJ Kystal Lake, who shares their experience as a Content Creator, advice on being an active bystander and their experience of the Pride community in London.
CEO of Not A Phase, Danielle St James tells Josh about the importance of charity and organisational support for the Pride community.
Lastly, hear from Bruce Jackson, Account Manager at IFS, who shared what Pride means to him and why Pride is important to IFS. Sharing some final thoughts “be like IFS, be proud, talk about it, shout about it!”
